Fast flash and slow flash may represent different distribution network states. Fast flash is EZ distribution mode and slow flash is AP distribution network mode. If the device is not in distribution network mode, it is necessary to check the hardware circuit.

What are the differences between the zero live wire switch and the single live wire switch?

Traditional mechanical switches in China require only one live wire, but Smart Home switches require both a live wire and a neutral wire. To install Smart Home switches, re-cabling is required, resulting in huge installation and reconstruction workloads. To widely use single live wire intelligent switches, you need to solve the following cabling problems:

1. The wiring methods are different.

2. To install a zero live wire switch, you must ensure that your home is equipped with a neutral wire (identified by N, which can be confirmed by an electrician). A single live wire switch can replace a traditional mechanical switch, without the need for a neutral wire.

How many gangs does a plug-and-play switch support?

Plug-and-play Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, or Zigbee switches on the Tuya Smart platform support a maximum of four gangs.

Do Tuya Wi-Fi switches support dual-control?

Yes. The dual-control feature takes effect after backend personnel configure it. To prevent an infinite loop, we do not recommend that you use the dual-control feature for multiple products.

How many gangs does a Wi-Fi switch with an indicator support?

A Wi-Fi switch with an indicator requires three I/O interfaces for each gang, and a maximum of three gangs are supported.

Do SIG mesh switches support remote control?

Yes, but gateway adaptation is required.

Can a Zigbee switch with a single live terminal drive the silicon controlled rectifier (SCR)?

Can I press a button to pair a plug-and-play Zigbee lamp with the app?

No. Zigbee lamps do not have a button. Tuya will continuously optimize the lamp features.

The Tuya Smart platform supports plug-and-play Wi-Fi switches with a maximum of four gangs. If the MCU solution is used, the number of gangs is determined by hardware resources and number of set DPs. Currently, voice speakers can control switches of up to six gangs.

Can a Zigbee switch with a single live terminal drive a relay?

Yes. Select null for the network pairing indicator and set the relay status indicator for each channel.

Does the switch support the single live wire solution?

Single live wire solution is for the power supply, but the Wi-Fi module consumes much power and is not recommended for a switch. You can use Zigbee and Bluetooth modules that have low power consumption.

Does Long press time of reset on the Tuya Smart platform's Hardware Debug page set for a Wi-Fi switch indicate a 3s press of the RST pin?

No. The RST pin is used to reset the module's software. Long press time of reset indicates a 3s press of any light control button.

What is switch dual-control or multi-control?

The switch dual-control or multi-control function enables two or more independent switches that control the same device to synchronize the device on/off status. This function applies only to common switches and not to scene switches or curtain switches.

If a 1-way switch, 2-way switch, and 3-way switch have the same module pin settings, can I use a Wi-Fi module designed for the 3-way switch in the 1-way or 2-way switch?

No. SoC modules have PIDs to identify app UIs. If a 1-way or 2-way switch uses a Wi-Fi module designed for a 3-way switch, the 1-way or 2-way switch will be displayed as a 3-way switch in the app. However, if the 1-way, 2-way, and 3-way switches use an MCU solution, they can use the same Wi-Fi module.

Can the switch, brightness, color temperature, and mode sorting in scene mode be customized?

This function is currently unsupported because it requires cooperation of multiple modules for sorting and definition.

What are the features of the curtain switch SoC solution?

This solution supports customized development, provides simple data points, and has low hardware requirements. However, the motor limit cannot be controlled, and motor self-processing may result in high temperature. In this solution, the motor is generally an AC motor, and the module is not directly connected to the motor. SoC curtain switches have a large market share and short production cycle.

What curtain types are supported by the curtain switch plug-and-play or SoC solution?

1. Opening curtains (left-right): pleated shades and veil curtains

2. Roller shutters (up-down): Venetian blinds, Roman blinds (lifting curtains), sunshade curtains, pleated shades, and honeycomb blinds

What are the features of the curtain switch MCU solution?

Customers are required to develop their own firmware, with various data points, which can be combined with motor hardware to control the stroke, steering switches, and motor load detection. However, the firmware has complex functions and requires a high degree of qualification from the manufacturer. The product's development cycle is long. Typically, this solution uses Percentage motors and connects the motor to the module through a protocol. However, the procurement cycle is long, and plants usually produce a small number of products.
