Wi-Fi Lighting
Why does a Wi-Fi lamp blink in low brightness?
The possible causes include:
1. The power supply design is improper. The Wi-Fi module shares the low-voltage power supply with the lamp.
2. The PWM frequency is high, resulting in unstable PWM signals.
3. The module's drive power supply is unstable.
Does Tuya provide plug-and-play Wi-Fi light strips with IR remote controls?
No.
Why does an SoC Wi-Fi or Bluetooth lamp suddenly turn off when the brightness is reduced?
Typically, the driver chip cannot identify the PWM pulse width when the brightness is reduced to a specific ratio. To solve the problem, reduce the PWM frequency.
Does Tuya provide Wi-Fi light strips?
Yes. Tuya provides plug-and-play light strips with buttons.
What are Tuya's plug-and-play solutions for lighting products?
Tuya provides plug-and-play RGBCW, RGBC, RGB, CW, and C solutions with standard functions for almost all lighting products. Optional modules include E2L, E2S, E3S, E3L, E1S-IPEX, E5P, LC4, and LC5.
In the lighting solution, is there any interchangeable module between Zigbee modules and Wi-Fi modules?
The pins of the ZS3 module are compatible with those of the E3S/E3LWR3E module, and therefore can be interchanged in the lighting solution.
What is the default brightness configured for a Tuya plug-and-play Wi-Fi lighting product?
Currently, the default brightness is 50%, which can be tuned when you create products.
Can I configure a button for a Wi-Fi lamp and do not use it?
Yes. However, we do not recommend you to reserve redundant buttons to prevent incorrect triggering.
Are there any notes on the power supply to Wi-Fi modules in the lighting solution?
The power supply to a Wi-Fi module should be separated behind the bridge rectifier to prevent the power supply from fluctuating and flashing when the Wi-Fi module is working. Attention should also be paid to the power supply current of the module. When LDO is used, it must be greater than 500 mA and the input voltage of LDO must not be greater than 5 V. When an input power supply greater than 5 V is required, it is recommended that you use DC-DC to power the module.
Where is a Wi-Fi module installed in a sphere lamp?
A Wi-Fi module is typically installed in the bulb base and not covered by the lampshade. In this case, there is no signal blocking risk. In some cases, a Wi-Fi module may be installed in the metal part of the lamp tail, where signals may be affected.
